pip appeals was created by julie harrison
I am under alot of pressure as to whether or not to appeal my pip decision .I have been awarded care standard rate no mobility, but i am so afraid if I lose the appeal for mobility I could also lose the care as well. Is there any advice anyone can give me.

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

I'm afraid this is a decision that only you can make.

There are no guarantees when challenging a benefit Decision, however, Tribunal Judges are required to tell the claimant if they believe that there is a risk to an existing award to allow the claimant to withdraw the appeal.

The obvious question before you go onto to appeal is how realistic is your expectation of an award for Mobility.

You need to score at least 8 points for a Standard award or 12 points for an Enhanced award across the two Mobility activities; Going Out and Moving Around. The Going Out activity looks at problems you would have planning a route and then following due to mental health, cognitive of sensory problems. The Moving Around activity considers your ability to walk due to physical problems.

Have a look at our PIP Claim guide for more details and in particular how "reliably" and the "majority of days" can be applied to your limitations.
