My son is 20 and at college, he does not get or have any money at all, I am in the support group of ESA. can my son claim carers allowance or anything else as I need to support him going to college, it is so very difficult, both of us living of my ESA and DLA money.

Being in the SG does not enable a claim for CA, you mention a DLA claim, if you are receiving Medium or Higher rate care then this would, however. if your son is a full time student then he cannot claim Carers Allowance as he would not be considered as being able to provide the required 35 of hours of care a week.

If he is not a full time student then it may ne possible.

Have a look at the following.
