PIP MEDICAL was created by netcoach177
Can someone please tell me if its still possible to get a PIP award without a medical as we have put in lots of medical evidence?. and separately could a recent mental illness diagnosis get a PIP award or does it need to be a long standing condition i.e over a year?.
Thank you

PIP awards are certainly made with a face to face assessment being required but there is no magic formula to avoid one it will depend on your conditions and how detailed your form and evidence is. You are more likely to have to have a face to face if this is a new claim and you are not already receiving DLA.
For a condition to be considered in regard to a PIP claim you have to have been suffering the effects of it for at least three months and be expected to do so for a further nine months.
Have a look at our PIP Claim guide for more details.
