Hi Can anyone clarify backdating of SDP rules please, in receipt of PIP (Standard daily living and standard mobility) since October 2015. Also in receipt of ESA CB (SG) since January this year. Will SDP be backdated to October 2015 (PIP) or January 2016 (ESA) Many Thanks in anticipation

Based on your post you are not entitled to the SDP as you only receive ESA(CB). if you are entitled to an ESA(IR) top up then the SDP can be paid from January 2016 as this would be the first time that you were receiving both ESA and PIP.
Entitlement to ESA(IR) is dependant on your household income, your savings and assets, and any hours that your partner works. See
