You don't need a Fit Note for an MR as they won't pay you during this time, but if you go onto appeal and you are able to claim the ESA Assessment rate then you will need a Fit Note to enable payment to be made.
However, based on your last post, your ESA claim appears to have been refused you had previously failed and your conditions were viewed as not having changed from then.
