PIP renewal was created by Bellavilla1
Would just like to thank you for your excellent site. We followed your advice to the letter and finally the brown letter popped through the letter box and to our pleasure we have received the Enhanced Care Component (which I got 13 points for) and the Enhanced mobility (which I got 14 points for) for 6 years. I was surprised to get this as I still working part-time.
Please also note that we were told at the medical interview that the assessor can only judge your walking ability from the door and not from the car to the front door. He actually said even if you did cartwheels to the front door this could not be included in the assessment.
Please be aware that if your PIP is a renewal which comes in a year prior to renewal the final decision takes about 6-8 weeks as you are not a priority. If your entitlement goes up then it is backdated to the date of the final decision

Well done keep up the good work

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

That's great news! Thanks for letting us know and for your kind words about B+W.

I'm afraid we have certainly heard from members who were watched entering/leaving the assessment centre and this was used to justify the mobility points. PIP decisions are often taking upwards of 8 weeks for any claimant at the moment!
