Hi Jacks and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

We cannot give any guarantees but the best chance of getting the PIP awarded without a face2face is to make as good a job as possible for the PIP2 forms.

The criteria for PIP are very different from those relating to DLA, one mistake we have seen is claimants filling in the PIP form as they did the DLA one. The other issue is that PIP was deliberately made harder to get than DLA in order to reduce the benefit bill. So some people who were, quite properly, in receipt of DLA will not qualify for PIP.

Please remember that none of the health and disability benefits are given solely because. of the limitations rather than the diagnosis itself.

I suggest that you make full use of our PIP guide and reply to this message if you have further questions.

PIP help for claimants

You might want to bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future. That will allow you to return with further questions/comments without having to start a new topic each time. It helps us enormousy when everything relating to the same claim is kept in one place - and I hope you will find it useful too :)

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
