I have just been stopped my ESA after 9 years and am trying to claim PIP. Do you have any idea how long is the average wait time between them receiving the claim form and a medical taking place please?
I assume I will have to have a medical despite having had one for my ESA

Hi Glyn,
It is hard to say for sure as the waiting times seem to be getting longer week by week.
Once you have returned the 'How your disability affects you' form, I wouldn't expect you to hear anything for a few weeks at least.
Members are more than welcome to reply with their own experiences.

I returned my form on the 30/3 and had my assessment on the 28/4, still waiting for my decision but have my assessment report.

Had my assessment 11 weeks after they received my application form.Got the result 5 weeks later.
