Only you can make the decision to appeal or not but two things that you might want to look at;

First, how secure is your current award? If you only have the 8 points required for a Standard award then there may be more risk than if you have more.

Secondly how likely are you to score the extra points needed for an Enhanced award, try and be realistic .

You will need to show that you meet the criteria for a higher award, so you should go through your PIP2 form, the assessment report and the PIP Claim guide to see how you can explain why this is so.

Do your conditions mean that it might not be in your interest to attend an appeal hearing? Although it is possible to be successful at a Paper hearing that the claimant does not attend, statistically the success rate for an Oral hearing is much higher.

Have a look at the PIP Appeal guide, it has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete to request an appeal and instructions on how to complete it.
