Hope someone can help. My home assessment is at 9.00am. My carer comes to me at 6.00 until 8.00am to shower and dress me. I usually have a sleep on the sofa from 8.00 until 11.00am. Someone comes in to make lunch for me at 12.00 noon. Should I hire someone to be with me for my assessment at 9.00am?

Although we would normally recommend you have someone with you at the assessment if you are going to have to pay for this then it raises questions as to whether they will be able to provide support that we would normally expect such a person to provide.
It's really up to you!
