PIP assessment was created by noodle06
 I received my notification for my PIP ASSESSMENT YESTERDAY. it is for next Tuesday and they are coming to my HOUSE. The center is only in Dorchester near my daughters work. I don't know if I should be more terrified or not.
I also want to thank everyone on this site, My E.S.A. I won on appeal and I know you'll be invaluable in this latest fight.
If anyone else has had a home visit I would really appreciate knowing what I'm letting myself in for. Thanks, NOD

Hi Noodle and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

I'm sorry that you are going through this :(

Our PIP guide has a section explaining what to expect from the face2face appointment. The format will be very similar, even though it is being carried out in your home

PIP help for claimants

It is up to you to decide who you would like to have with you on the day and also in which room you want to assessment to be carried out. The assessor has no right to ask to look around your home (and we have not heard of them doing so anyway) but it is up to you if there are aids/adaptations that you wish to show them.

The assessor can arrive on time, early, late - or not at all!

Members are, of course, welcome to tell you of their own experiences.

I'm glad that you found our ESA guides useful and hope you will have a similar result for your PIP!

You might want to bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you will find it easily in future. This will allow you to return with further questions, or to let us know how you get on, without having to open a new topic each time. It helps us enormously when everything relating to the same claim is kept in one topic - and I hope you will find it useful too :)

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
