P.I.P claim was created by wayne
In january this year my DLA was stopped . the reason for this i was told was because i never returned my claim form on time {i did} So i asked for another to be sent filled it out and sent it recorded delivery sent on 11/04/2016 , it was recieved and signed for on 12/04/2016 . i went online and downloaded the proof of postage . I contacted their office to check if they had received it , they said they had not . I then recieved a letter from the DWP stating that i did not quallfy for P.I.P because the info they i asked for was not received on time and i must appeal this decision within one month of their letter dated the 4/06/2016 . I am still waiting

HI Wayne and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

I have removed your surname from your post so that you maintain an element of anonymity. Although only members can post on this forum, it is possible for anyone to read it.

Did you appeal the decision to disallow your PIP claim (including the proof of posting) ? What date was that posted?

There is no timescale laid down for reconsiderations/appeals and we would usually expect DWP to take a few weeks to look at this again.

If DWP do not allow this claim to proceed, you can start a new claim straight away.

You might want to bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now. This will allow you to return with further questions/comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. It helps us enormously when everything relating to the same claim is kept in one place - and I hope you will find it useful too
