ESA reduction was created by carmind
A client of mine has had his ESA reduced by £61.85 a week (described in the DWP letter as "extra money because you are severely disabled". Is this the Disability Premium?
He has recently had his PIP award reduced from enhanced Daily Living to standard. Would this be the reason for the additional reduction in his ESA?

You can also get it if you are in income related ESA support group.

That's the Enhanced Disability Premium not the Severe DP!

Sorry Mrs H, SDP is enabled by any PIP Daily Living award.

Yes, the sum you mention is the amount of a single person's Severe Disability Premium. It is only payable if the claimant is in receipt of enhanced care PIP, not standard rate.

No, SDP is enabled by any PIP Daily Living award.
Has anybody claimed Carers Allowance against the client or are they no longer living alone or considered to be living alone?
