Hi Shammy,

You can invite the assessor to go up and look at the bathroom adaptations if you wish (whether or not you chose to go with them), From what I have heard, they are unlikely to accept the offer.

If you want to assessment to take place in your dining room that is fine, it is entirely up to you.

You will not be subjected to a medical examination. You might be requested to carry out some 'simple' movements. You certainly will not be asked to remove anything other than your top layer of clothing, there will be no intimate exam.

If you are unable to do as requested, or you know it would be likely to cause you harm, you should say so and politely decline. My feeling is that, the more generally co-operative you are, the more likely that such a refusal would be understood (rather than reported as you refusing to co-operate).

Finally a warning - the assessor might turn up on time, early, late or not at all!
