Hi just filling in PIP form- I need help with Q5a-
Do you use an aid or appliance to monitor your health conditions, take medication or manage home treatments? For example using a dosette box for tablets.
I use an alarm on my mobile to let me know when my husbands Butrans patches are due to be change each week. The reason for this is his patches have a habit of falling off so I use my alarm on my mobile to keep track of the day each week. So then he doesn't suffer with withdrawal symptoms.
Would this be class as a aid/ appliance to monitor his medication? I've left the question blank at mo as not sure what to put. The answer as to be either YES, NO or SOMETIMES.
I thought I would ask u for assistance in working out what to put as my answer. I'm drawn to say YES but just not 100% sure.
Any info or advice would be helpful thank u.....

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Based on your post I would answer "yes". Explain in the comments box or attached sheets what you need to do and why.

Hi all, I'm still in the process of filling in the PIP form-
Received a letter stating about my dead line of the 22nd october to get PIP form in or to contact them- otherwise claim will stop. I phoned them and got extended till the 5th November. Just wondering if anyone else got a letter like that?
Form is nearly done

It's a standard letter sent out three weeks after the PIP2.

Hi, nearly finished the PIP form
on page 36 what happens next?
It says in your guide that this is where we can request a home visit.
I'm just wondering would I be able to request paper assessment to along with the home visit to give them a choice? .....Or shall i just request home visit.
As going to a face to face assessment would be to much for my husband-because if he falls he could be on the floor for up to 3 hours as he loses the feeling of his body and is unable to move.
As soon as the part is done I'm going to get it posted by sign for delivery. I just hope they sort the decision out fairly quick as my husband's DLA is only until the 5th December. Just dont want him to lose his mobility car.
Thanks for any replies x
