I've got a PIP assessment coming up and I rang ATOS to request that it be recorded, however I was told I would have to bring two voice recorders myself and leave one with them on the day. I was also told it was up to the medical assessor whether or not they were agreeable to this. Can someone tell me if this is the case? Plus the assessment centre is in Durham and I live in North Tyneside. Thanks Patsy
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it? I'm afraid the DWP have told ATOS and Capita not to provide recording facilities for PIP assessments, you can record the interview yourself but you will need to be able to produce two tapes or CDs simultaneously. If you intend to do this then you must contact ATOS in writing in advance for their permission, they will arrange for an assessor who is willing to be recorded to be available.
