I appreciate this may be like asking how long is a pice of string but wondered what experience others have had and any advice they have to offer regarding the process.
If this has already been addressed help to find the posts would be appreciated. I'm new to the forum and not very technically minded. Thanks.

Typically about 5-6 weeks, it could be as short as a single week and we do have members who have waited best part of 3 months.
It depends on the region you are in, some areas like the SW have limited staff, others like the NE have lots of claims, also the more you contest the MR Decision the longer it is likely to take, if you treat it as an obstacle to your being able to appeal then it will likely be dealt with quicker.

I have read somewhere that the decision maker takes no notice of further information so any advice on this matter would be appreciated.
You have nothing to lose by submitting additional evidence, the worst that the DM can is to ignore it.
