DWP Back Payments

As i am a novice as too the way the DWP deal with back dated claims,i was wanting too know if as we have waited 42 weeks to date and should within the next 2/4 weeks be receiving payments again ,will we have all our payments backdated as in not only the PIP but also the carers and the income support i lost ?

If this was a new claim with no DLA in payment then you will receive back payments from the date that the PIP claim was made.
If DLA was in payment then it will be from the Effective Date of the PIP Decision, this should be from the day after his DLA was stopped.

My son was has transitioned from the DLA too the now PIP,and as i am his carer we lost our whole income for the last 42 weeks ,so we will receive back payments for both then.....
Glad we made the effort too go too tribunal,terrifying but now liberating !

The DLA should be backdated to when your son lost his DLA.

We got all our back pay ,you have too wait 28 days for the DLA to have a chance too appeal against the panel decision ,but they dont ! and then you will hear from the DLA and your back pay will filter through and a new pay date !
