Esa and more problems was created by Alisonm7772
Hi all
Hope someone can help with this, last week i was awarded income related ESA and placed in the support group after a F2F medical assessment which was brilliant news as was in the wrag group previously,
the question i would like to ask is my daughter is 19 and has recently just finished college(1st july 2016)I am still in receipt of child benefit and child tax credit which will end on the 5th of september and she has and is working part time and did not know i had to declare wages she had been earning to the dwp as she was classed as a dependent up until my child benefit and child tax credit had ceased,
i have phoned them this morning to get a copy of my medical report and mentioned that she had been working they want her wage slips and job contract the woman on the phone was quite short with me and said my claim could be suspended as i did not declare this, my anxiety is through the roof again as i thought all my worries were over and another one has popped up,
I'm hoping now after going through all that again my esa is not stopped.
best regards Alim.

Child Benefit should not be taken in to account for ESA(IR) but the Tax Credits are counted as income, as far as I can see your daughter's earnings should not be considered, but if she make payments to you for her "keep" then the DWP may question you about it.
