Benefits Adviser? was created by steveinleo59
We have multiple disability issues and are both on DLA or PIP.
When reading the forums, we found one case where someone was sent out an ESA3 and IS 10 couples based income related ESA. Apparently the IS 10 form is not available online and is sent out only when asked for. As I understand it this form is for a type of carers allowance.

We would like to know where in Herefordshire, we might be able to go for some independent Benefits advice. We don't trust our job center staff . The CAB in Herefordshire is very limited in both knowledge and availability of staff with knowledge of benefits and what we might be entitled to.

Any help and suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi Steve,

There are two thing you could try -

Firstly, is there a group or association related to a condition that either of you have? For instance, 'Mind' can be very helpful for people who have mental health issues.

Other than that, try an internet search for 'welfare advice' and your area or postcode.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
