ESA NI credits missing. was created by Annie10
On checking my State Pension Forecast I found that no NI had been credited for three years since migrating to ESA. I was told by Job Centre Plus to contact HMRC who then told me to contact Job Centre Plus, typical pillar to post. The next person at JCP knew what she was doing, sorted it out and credits are now showing on Contributions Record.
I advise everyone on ESA to check their Pension Forecast and NI contributions on it. If this happened to me then probably to others. People may trust that their pension is correct and DWP has credited NI, not always the case! According to my forecast this will have an impact of £5 per week if current year is not credited even though I have enough qualifying years.

Hi Annie and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

Thanks for making us aware of this, I'm glad you have got it sorted out.

Resurrecting this as I have just read and replied to williams about NI credits missing after migration to ESA from IB who was told that ESA do not credit anymore. They do, the Job Centre worker was obviously misinformed, what a surprise. Please everyone, check your own, it could cost you a lot not only in claiming other benefits but also affect your state pension. Get a pension forecast, it will show all qualifying years.
