ESA Medical and Doctors report.

Just thought I would update you with this situation.

I telephoned the appointments people for the medical and explained everything, including the fact I had not had to attend before, that the doctor who replied to the form didn't know me and that my doctor had left the surgery and no-one was seeming to want to take this on.

Surprisingly, although I had already put the date back, the guy on the phone seemed extremely sympathetic and offered to give me a date in October to try and get a letter from my doctor's surgery.

I finally tracked down someone at the surgery who was going to get this letter sorted. I also saw my plebotomist, who I know quite well, and had a moan. She said to keep pushing for the letter as this particular test centre is extremely difficult for many people at the surgery and she knows letters are sent off regularly about patients not being able to attend medicals there.

I have since had a telephone call to say that a letter will be faxed over to the medical centre.

It is extremely concerning and worrying when a doctor fails to point out a long term disability which I am receiving physio to help with it and strong painkillers because of the pain I suffer. Understandably, I was beginning to feel this was a deliberate remit to force people to either attend medicals they couldn't do and be sanctioned, or force the wrong people off of these benefits. I don't trust people sometimes!!!

Anyhow, I will keep you informed as to the outcome. Technically as there is no change, there should be no change, but as we know, that isn't always the way it goes!
