Mandatory Reconsideration Success was created by Craigyrhos
My daughter, who has learning difficulties, was only awarded daily living at the standard rate 11 points with her PIP claim, despite being on standard mobility and daily care for over 25 years with DLA. I asked for a reconsideration on her behalf using the guidelines given on your website. I have Power of Attorney due to her difficulties. I wrote a letter using all the resources available on your fantastic site and today we received the result. She has been awarded enhanced daily living 17 points and enhanced mobility 12 points. I am over the moon as I know how difficult it can be to be awarded enhanced mobility when her difficulties with transport, walking outside the safety of her home etc are purely due to her mental health and learning difficulties.I did not submit further medical evidence along with this reconsideration so the decision was made purely on the evidence submitted originally plus my reconsideration letter using your guidelines for PIP reconsideration. Thank you so very much for your brilliant website and resources. This new award decision only took 4 weeks from the date I sent in the request.

Well done, you must have made a very good job of the MR statement to get the decision changed!

Thanks for letting us know and for your kind words about B+W :)
