Can I use Tipp-Ex on PIP Claim form? was created by Petal
Hi everyone,
Typically I've done everything the wrong way round. ..I have filled in my husband's PIP form, but have only just subscribed and read the guide and realised I have waffled a lot. Can I use Tipp-ex (a lot!) on the form? Is it possible to start again somehow if you see what I mean?
Also, I have written everything in the first person as if my husband has filled it out himself, is this right? I'm worried they'll think him more competent than he is.

You must return the PIP2 that has been sent to you, the form is not available to download.
It is perfectly OK for you to type your answers and attach them as extra pages to the PIP2 and clearly mark the entries that you have made as deleted, it might help to include a short note about what has happened.. Just make sure that each page has your full name and NIN at the top and that they are numbered, we recommend "page X of Y" so that it is easy to see if pages are missing. Make sure you clearly mark on the form where your answers are and on the relevant page that you are answering question X.
Attach the pages to the back of the PIP2 using a staple or make a hole in the top left corner and use a treasury tag, string or ribbon to the form. The pages need to be easily detached so that they can be scanned by the DWP.
There should be no problem with you writing the replies in the first person as long as they are things that your husband would have said himself.
