PIP assesor didn't turn up for home visit.

:woohoo: My husband was due to be assessed for PIP last Friday but the assessor didn't turn up in the given time frame.
I rang ATOS and they said the assessor had been to our address and rang the bell and that she also rang my husband's mobile number.
None of this is true.
We had to ring the DWP to request that they send my husband's claim back to ATOS because the assessor had marked it as "non attendance".
We have requested a complaint form and we can prove on my husband's call logs that he never received a call from the assessor.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Hi Denise and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

I'm sorry that you and your husband are going through this :(

It is not unusual for the assessor to fail to turn up - but it is less usual for them to swear blind that they were there! You have done the correct thing in contacting DWP about this - although case files are usually returned to DWP after 2 failed appointments, not just one. Has there been any previous change of date, time or venue?

If you want to know what to expect when the face2face finally happens, it is explained in our PIP guide

PIP help for claimants

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further question s or comments about your husband's PIP without having to start a new topic each time. It helps us enormously when everything relating to the same claim is kept in one topic - and I hope you will find it useful too :)
