PIP change of circumstances was created by gillyf
My daughter was awarded standard rate for mobility when transferred over from DLA to PIP but was 2 points short of getting the care component. She struggles with lots of things notably her finances which i help her 'control' as best i can however when the PIP award came through i was not well myself and didn't appeal that part.

Recently, having spent her whole months salary twice in the first week after payday i feel i need to go back and try again as they said she can make simple budgetting decisions when clearly she cannot. I have had to take her debit card away and check her bank account eveyday because of this and my own health is being affected by the stress of it all.

I've looked at the new 12 page change form and just want to ask do i need to fill in all the sections or the relevant part to do with money?? Would they also look at the mobility part again if i set this in motion?

Any help would be gratefully received.

I'm afraid it is unlikely to be this easy.

You appear to be suggesting that you ask for a reassessment. First of all this would be a full reassessment of her claim but there would also have had to have been a documented change in her conditions which does not seem to be the case.

You don't say when the PIP Decision was made. If it was within the last 13 months then it is still possible to challenge it. You need to request a Mandatory Reconsideration, this needs to be done in writing to the DWP, within one month of the Decision, to the office that dealt with your claim. You will need to explain why the request is late, if the DWP do not accept your reasons then you cannot take the matter further.

Have a look at our PIP MR & Appeal guide for details of the process, the PIP area also has template letters that you can use to make the request with.
