Timescale for submitting an appeal was created by terryanne
My daughter has received nil points for the effects of a number of mental illnesses including schizophrenia, bi polar, agoraphobia, eating disorder and extreme anxiety. We are very upset that all the details of the effects of these have not even been mentioned in the assessor' report and now have to submit an appeal after MR. I can't find any mention of a timescale to do this and am surprised as everything has a deadline date! I don't intend to delay submitting it but a bit of time would allow us to get more medical reports. Appreciate your advice. Thanks

The appeal request has to be with the Tribunal Service within a month of the date of the MR letter, it can be submitted later but you would then need to explain why it is late and they do not have to accept your reasons.
Have a look at the ESA or PIP (as applicable) MR & Appeal guides for links to the SSCS1 that you will complete and instructions on how to complete the form, you do not at this stage need to provide detailed reasons for the appeal.
Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
