maximus medical was created by wendy
my husband was placed in the support group from Wrag 2 years ago after a mandatory reconsideration, he now has to go for a medical at the end of this month. he suffers from arthritis, he is 56 and can barely walk any distance at all. if they decide to place him back in the WRAG can we appeal this? I am so frightened, his life is bad enough as it is and I don't think he will be able to mentally cope with this is they say he should be able to work. Please advise
Thank you
Wendy

Hi Wendy and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

Your husband can ask for any decision to be looked at again (Mandatory Reconsideration which is the first step to an appeal) if it is not what he feels it should be.

Did you use our ESA guide when completing the ESA50 form? Whether or not, if would be worth having a look at it before the assessment so that you husband understands the criteria against which he is being measured. The guide explains what to expect of the assessment too.

ESA claims and appeals

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your husband's ESA without having to start a new topic each time. It helps us enormously when everything relating to the same claim is kept in one topic - and I hope you will find it useful too :)

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
