Question about home assessment ? was created by SteveR
Hi everyone, quick update on my wife's transfer from DLA to PIP,having filled in the Pip form after 2 weeks of writing dummy runs on what to put down on the form and she was happy with it,
We sent the claim off including lots of evidence recorded delivery .
Yesterday she received a letter from Atos saying that she will be having a home visi in 2 weeks time, now she did not ask for a home visit so the big question is do you know what is the success rate is for a home visit as apposed the normal one to one at a medical centre.
Also is it normal for them to do a home visit when you hav'nt asked for one,or is it due to my wife's medical problems they have done this, maybe it's to see how she copes at home with her disabilities.
Thanks for reading

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

There are no statistics for home visits, I would not even hazard a view from what we hear on the forum as to any associated success rate.
The fact that a home assessment is being offered is an acceptance by ATOS that her limitations are severe enough to prevent her attending at their offices.
