It's worth checking what your GP has written in case they have not been specific in their reasons why you cannot attend, speak to your GP surgery it should be possible for you to see ac copy.

You can try your MP, but if the decision is not changed then you must attend the appointment or you risk having your claim closed.

Contacting your MP

Hi Foz,

I attended a PIP assessment and recently an ESA review. I myself asked for a home visit and this was denied. It was seen if I could get to the Doctors and did not need them to call to my home I was okay to attend the appointment. Of course I only attended the Doctors on a better day with suffering from M.E. or relied on telephone consultation.

As Gordon has noted if they will not overturn go along but I would say to take someone with you. I took someone with me that understood the illness and was able to notice my decline in health. For the PIP There were some things I could not do e.g. exercises and I said I could not do them and I was in pain as well. I would also have someone drive you there and take you straight to the door as some of these offices are not adapted fully for people will disabilities e.g. heavy doors, steps etc. I hope all goes well. Take care
