Appointment for assessment with healthcare profess was created by Jane
Hi,
Today I had a letter with an appointment for an assessment with a healthcare professional. I filled out the ESA50 in April and that was all fine, didn't hear anything but I didn't last time either which I put down to my docs report. His opinion is that attempting work would put me in the ground, his words.... Yes, I am seriously ill, wasn't expected to see my youngest reach 18. She was 18 in August. My health is in slow decline, just slower than they anticipated thank my lucky stars!
I notified them last week that I had moved. This will have changed any appointments from Plymouth to Redruth and had an appointment letter through today. Could this be to do with the move? Should I check with them that they have all my paperwork and reports as attending this assessment will put me under extreme stress, not great with heart failure being one of my issues!
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi Jane,
Whether or not a claimant has to attend a face2face assessment is entirely down to the assessment provider, I wouldn't expect your house move to have anything to do with it.
Everything you sent in will have been scanned on to the computer and should be available to the assessor. However, it won't hurt to take copies of the paperwork with you and check that the assessor has seen it.
May I suggest that you favourite/bookmark this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily as we ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic

Just an update.... ESA was retained and I was left in the support group. Think the assessor was surprised I'd been called in with the amount I have wrong and by the time I was seen I couldn't even sit in a chair so all tests had to be done with me sat on the floor.... thanks for all your support!
