Hi iv had to get my pip reassessed I was given low on mobility think middle care. I lost my mobility car after 12yr. . I had to fill another form in I was given the results of my medical condition, I have mild cognitive impairment, even though through my first pip she said there was nothing wrong with me, I now have small fits and because of this lost my driving licence, I have received a letter this morning to see atos for another assessment but this time it's in York? ? I live in Wakefield how am I supposed to get there iv a mobility scooter that won't get me there, iv rang for a home visit, so will this assessment be like my first? My first assessment was near me now York what a farce!

Hi angie,

Every full assessment/reassessment will be much the same.

The claimant can be required to travel to any venue within a 90 minute journey. If York is further away than this then you should be able to get it changed without penalty.

I think it unlikely that you will be granted a home visit without the support of a GP letter - let's hope I am proved wrong!

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
