Banness wrote: Good morning newbie to this site. After pip assessment in which I was awarded the standard rate for daily living I have lost the motability part of pip. After handing car back on Friday I came home on Saturday to find a back to work appointment behind the door. I have been in the support group for four years and had a lifetime award for D L A. I was diagnosed with ms in 1995 and was retired from nursing. I found an office job within the nhs but again had to retire 10 years ago. The last 9 months have been a constant worry. Here's hoping this site will prepare me for yet another nightmare
You need to check with the DWP as to whether a Decision on your ESA claim has been made without you being aware, also, have a look at the following.

Esa form submitted in April helped by cab. With having good and bad days with benign ms he put most of my answer as "varies". I feel that as I have lost the most ability it's been taken as read that I do not need to be in the support group. This whole process has had an effect on health and wellbeing and although I'm studying your site I really don't know where to start. Assessment in 3 weeks

So this is a new claim for ESA?
The interview is standard, I don't believe it is mandatory but you should check with the JC+ office.
