Hi Gaynor and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
I'm sorry that the axe has fallen for you, especially so near to Christmas!
The initial phonecall to initiate the PIP claim is not terribly complicated and our PIP guide explains the information you will need to have to hand.
PIP help for claimants
In fact, the guide explains every step of the process so I expect you will refer to it a lot during your PIP 'journey'.
May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start anew topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too
