PIP EXTENSION was created by right2claim
Hello everyone. Does anybody know that, if you have asked for a pip extension over the phone and been given the standard 2 week extension they give, why you still get reminders of the original deadline date? Should I call to remind them? I don't want my payments to stop. I have sent a letter asking for clarification of new date but no reply. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

The reminder letters are legally required as part of the process, however, they take 7-10 days to be printed and sent out, so it is likely they were produced before you were granted an extension. It's also possible that the PIP computer system is not able to take account of extensions.
If you are worried call the same number as you did for the extension to confirm that it is still in place.
