my uncle recently attended an esa assessment,he is still awaiting the outcome, meanwhile he has a dla to pip form which has to be retuned soon ,if the esa report finds him fit for work will this have an effect on his pip claim. and will they use the esa report as part of the evidense when deciding the claim. Also can i ask for acopy of the report to see if it is helpful towards filling in the pip form.If i can whom do i call the esa number or the local jobcentre. Thanks
All I can say is that we have never seen an unfavourable ESA decision used to make a PIP decision.
You can get a copy of the ESA assessor's report - but only after a decision has been made. You should phone DWP for it and ask for the ESA85 (it would have been an ESA85a if there had not been a face2face assessment).
