Having gone through the new PIP AR1 review form, which I will have to complete in the next few weeks, I am concerned about Question 12a: "Tell us how far you can walk, taking into account any aids you use."
The questions asks how far you can walk. However, I thought the original questions on PIP, ESA and other claim forms asked how far you can walk without having to stop due to pain and or breathlessness. I have always made it clear that I can walk but with much difficulty up to 20m without having to stop and rest. I suffer breathlessness due to lung conditions and through joint and muscle pain.
My condition has worsened since my original assessment and my GP recommended I get reassessed to get the enhanced payments for Living and Mobility allowances. At the moment I get the standard allowances.
I have contacted the DWP informing them of my changes. However, I am now worried that I will get benefits removed after reading some of the testimonies. Can anyone help me out on this?
All of the PIP activities must be completed "reliably" and "on the majority of days", this includes the Moving Around activity, have a look at the PIP Claim guide for an explanation of these terms.
