Hi,
My partner's going through the transition from DLA to PIP, we needed an extention so I rang up & it was granted. I did ask if I'd get it in writing & they said not, but assured me that the dates had been changed & if I heard anything meanwhile with the old dates to just ignore them. So far we've had a text message, & today we had a letter with the old dates. Do you think I should ring up & tell them & ask for it in writing just incase they stop the DLA payments, or just leave it & trust them?

The DWP won't confirm an extension in writing, we've not heard of anybody having a problem with the first one but if you are concerned you can ring them again to confirm that it is on file.
