I was transferred from DLA to PIP in November 2015 with an end date of September 2017. I read in your forums that people get a renewal form 12 months prior to expiry. I have not had anything. What do you believe will happen at the end of September. Will my benefit just cease or do I have to contact them regarding a renewal. I was 60 when I went onto DLA after a serious road accident ,but I will be 66 at renewal. Do you think I will be switched to attendance allowance.

Although the vast majority of claims are renewed a year early, some (and we haven't been able discern a pattern) are reviewed three months before the end of the award. If you have not been contacted a couple of months before your award stops then contact the DWP yourself,
Providing a claimant was in receipt of PIP before they turned 65 then they will continue to do so after 65.
You will not be switched to AA, it is a separate benefit.
