Be Positive !

I have read many horror stoies on this forum, but it doesn't have to be that way. PIP claims are your way of getting the help you need and nobody knows better than you what help you need and how your condition affects the things you can do. Don't look at it as if they are trying to catch you out, rather look at is as an opportunity to put your case accross and get what you deserve.

In the last few months I have been involved with three claims, my own, my wifes and my best friend.
My transition from DLA to PIP, low care, high mobility DLA, to standard care high mobility PIP.
My wife, middle care, high mobility DLA, to standard care , high mobility PIP, currently going to appeal.
My best friend, who had all the negative thoughts and feelings common to many, after talking to him we filled out his form detailing all his conditions and how they affect him. By talking with him he realised there were things that he took for granted and things that he wasn't comfortable talking about and wouldn't have put on the form. The result went from low care, high mobility DLA to high care, high mobility PIP for ten years.

So be positive, talk with the people that know you best, who may have observations that you dismiss as silly, not relevant or uncomfotable. Accept you for who you are, you are beautiful but even a beautiful rose needs help, the right conditions to grow and be the best it can and so do you.

Good post what people forget if you add up every complaint on every forum help group going its less than 20,000 out of millions of cases

I'm so pleased that you, your wife and friend have all had relatively good outcomes through this forest of paper work and assessments. It does give hope to the rest of us in this maze of red tape the DWP like to put us through. And gawd knows I'm in need of some hope right now.
