Hi I had my ESA f2f medical by maximus for the first time. I found it quite different to Atos. The interviewer just typed away whilst my support worker spoke and I answered one or two questions. I suffer from severe PTSD and anxiety, which was quite prevelant at the interview and the reason why I have recently moved from DLA middle care rate to enhanced PIP. She asked me fif I suffer from hay fever and reflux still as this is obviously on my medical record from years ago?? Why that would be relevant, I don't know. The problem I have is engaging with medical practitioners for my medication and I rarely get to see the doctor so my mental health has deteriorated. As the interview went on I was getting very restless and just wanted to run, then she said for us to go back to the waiting room after about 25 min and she will check if I needed to come back in. After 5 min she came out and said she has enough information and we left. I had no physical or anything. Is this normal? I'm worried sick as atos seemed to be more interested in my mental health unlike Maximus. I have had two f2f with atos since 2011 and have always been put in the support group.

I've given up trying to predict the outcome of an assessment based on how it went, but it is possible that the assessor went to speak to a superior about making another SG award, this would be normal procedure in these circumstances.

ESA Decisions are taking 2-3 weeks.

My daughter's ESA assessment was the same, my daughter has severe anxiety and depression and was in a complete state of panic in the assessment room..the Maximus assessor left the room after 20 mins to check with a supervisor if she could end the assessment early, which she did. I'm hoping this is a good sign, and that she isn't dragged through the appeal route. Good luck Terry and hope you get a positive result. :)
