DLA to PIP was created by suzieq63
I'm in the process of transferring from DLA to PIP
I have sent my PIP application to dwp and just received a letter from Capita, so assuming I'll have to have an assessment.
My DLA ends 17th February and letter states assessment process is usually up to 16 weeks....I have a motability vehicle.
Could anyone tell me if I'll lose benefit and have to return my motability vehicle please, as DLA will be ending before PIP assessment.
Thank you

Welcome to the forum.
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
Your DLA should remain in payment until four weeks after a Decision on your PIP claim is made, the DWP should extend your current claim by a year to ensure that this happened, I would chase them to make sure that they are aware of when your DLA ends.
