Congratulations on the award.
Six years is on the high side, the average is probably 3-4 years, the length of the award is supposed to be a reflection of the likelihood of change, this could be for the better, it could also be for the worse.
As it is part of the Decision then it open to appeal, but I don't think I have seen anyone on this forum or others who has been able to get the award length changed when this is the only issue being challenged.
