PIP appeal was created by Joey123
Hi there. I received the confirmation of my PIP appeal from HMCTS on a letter dated 16/03/17. However, I have not received a written response from DWP yet. How long do they have to reply? What happens if I do not receive I reply from them within allowed time.? Many thanks. I was just wanderin as it is now 11/04/17 today.
Kind regards

The DWP have one month from the date of the letter notifying them of your appeal request to send their submission for the hearing, if you have not heard from them in about a week, then contact the Tribunal Service about the matter.
They will send a warning to the DWP about their submission and give them a further period (usually 14 days) to comply, after this the Judge of your hearing does have the authority to progress the case without input from the DWP.
