Confused about new ESA advance claim effecart date

I started my advance ESA claim by telephone on the 21st March, but my Statutory Sick Pay didn't run out until 30th April. I'm aware that the rules changed for ESA WRAG payments on the 3rd April but am not sure whether I'll get the old WRAG payments or the new lower rate payments - any thoughts?!

It will depend on the Commencement Date of your ESA not the date that you claimed as you are currently receiving SSP this will not be until this ends, so I afraid that I would expect your claim to be affected by the new rules.
