DLA to PIP was created by lotusfleurs
Hello
I just read in a recent post to KOT that DLA claimants with a fixed term award will currently be invited to claim PIP 20 weeks in advance of the award ending. My DLA award doesn't end until Dec 2018 and yet I've had to apply for PIP already and I sent back the form last week. Is it just my bad luck or could it be something else? Thank you.

The 20 week rule (it's not defined in the legislation) only applies to awards ending before September 2017, awards after this date can be called at any time, although given how far the DWP are behind in the process I am a little surprised that they are looking further ahead.

I am in London, are you? Maybe they're quicker here. Good luck.
