I have been waiting about 4 months for my Pip tribunal date to come through (oral hearing) and I really am so unwell at the moment that I'm worried I won't be well enough to attend on the day, although I do want to get there if I can.
My question is this. If the worse comes to the worse and I'm not able to get there on the day would my partner (who is also my representative) be able to attend on my behalf?
What usually happens in these sorts of situation? Would we need permission for this in advance, or would they just swap it over to a paper based hearing in this instance?
You need permission from the Judge assigned to your appeal or you risk the hearing being adjourned for you to attend. Write to the Clerk of the Court at the venue for your hearing if it seems likely that you cannot attend.
