Mandatory Reconsideration Help was created by linda
I have just received a PIP decision letter after a medical and suprise suprise I have scored 0 points! The letter with the explanation is full of mistakes and incorrect statements. Now I do not know if it was the DWP who got it purposely wrong or is the ATOS health professional who twisted the entire interview. Is it possible (and worth it) to ask DWP for a copy of the medical report before asking for MR?

Hi Linda and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
It is certainly worth asking for a copy of the assessor's report, DWP usually send them out on request. However, you should not wait for it if doing so would take you beyond the 1 month in which DWP are obliged to accept your MR request. You can tell DWP that you will send in more details when you have seen the report and they should allow you more time.
The criteria against which you are being assessed is explained in our PIP guides, as is the MR process.

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too
