NI Contributions was created by Kat10
Hi all,
I received ESA payments back in 2011/2012. When these were stopped (in 2012), I was advised that my NI contributions would continue until Feb 2015. I am still unable to work and have since been awarded Standard rate Daily Living PIP. I understand that it is important to have my NI contributions paid and updated. My question is therefore what is the best way of achieving this?
Many thanks Kat

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

HI Kat,
NI credits will continue for as long as your ESA claim remains live. If you have not had a reassessment (and a decision that you no longer qualify for ESA at all) then your claim will have continued. You can always contact DWP and check if you are unsure.

Thanks for your helpful reply Mrs Hurtyback. I don't think I have been reassessed but I will contact DWP to double check.
