Hello I ask the question... PIP ALERT....do the DWP Agencies do joint working? I ask the question as at the moment I am working my way through the ESA50 form with the help of the B&W guide.
I noticed the PIP Alert warning in the B&W guide.
By the way! I hadn't thought about PIP application as I wasn't aware of it so the guide has already been of use because I went and had a look about it and thought yes I should apply for that too on behalf of my husband.
So back to the question. If by answering questions in one benifit form can negatively effect your entitlement to another benifit the DWP their must use joint working between their Agencies to stop/reduce payments. Will the DWP use this joint working the other way by approving other benifits such as PIP if you have been successful with the ESA50?
I'm afraid a positive report for one benefit cannot substitute for you completing the claim form and being assessed for the other, whilst there are areas of crossover between ESA and PIP much of the criteria is specific to one benefit and not the other.
